How to start

How a project starts

Four steps from first conversation to going live. Pace and depth depend on industry and setup.

  1. 1

    First call

30 to 60 minutes, no cost. We clarify your use case, your setup and the open questions before anything gets estimated.

  2. 2

    Solution sketch

Within one working week. Written offer with build costs, platform-fee range and timeline.

  3. 3

    Pilot build

2 to 18 weeks, depending on project size and industry. Size guidance below.

  4. 4

    Going live and expansion

After a successful pilot. Modular by audience, with monthly care for ongoing operations and updates.

Pilot scales

Project duration depends on segment, content scope and integration depth. Rough orientation:

  • Small: 2 to 4 weeks. Examples: one use case, manageable content corpus, one pilot location.
  • Medium: 4 to 8 weeks. Examples: multiple roles, standard integrations, one pilot with reporting.
  • Large: 8 to 18 weeks. Examples: multi-location, custom integrations, white-label setup, regulated segment.

Final classification follows in the solution sketch after the first call.

Partner Program

Certification logic

Three blocks that clearly separate the Partner Program from Studios and Labs.

What the certification covers

Two-day programme. Architecture, safety rules, sales materials. Includes a presentation for brand clients and configuration examples from the platform.

What a certified agency can do afterwards

Sell setup, build content packages, win and onboard their own brand clients. Billing runs through the agency, the platform fee flows proportionally to HillcrownAI.

What stays with HillcrownAI

Platform, security, updates, AI Act mapping. Models and moderation continue to run self-hosted in our German data centres.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does a typical pilot take?
Between 2 and 18 weeks, depending on project size and segment. Small use cases with a manageable content corpus go live in 2 to 4 weeks; regulated multi-location setups take 8 to 18 weeks. Final classification follows in the Solution Brief after the discovery call.
Can we start with Studios and move to Labs later?
Yes. Both services run on the same platform. Studios owns the implementation; Labs takes over deeper engineering as soon as your team builds its own integrations or custom models. The transition is fluid, with no data or configuration break.
What does a pilot roughly cost?
We don't publish list prices, because setup, platform fee and revenue participation combine differently per segment and constellation. The three components and their logic are documented on the pricing page. A concrete range comes with the solution sketch. Platform fees run on fixed conditions, not on token-based pricing of proprietary hosted-model APIs.
What happens to our content after the pilot ends?
Your content remains your property. During operation it runs curated through the RAG pipeline on our self-hosted open-source models. No fine-tuning on foreign models, no training loops at external API providers, no model training by HillcrownAI or third parties. At the end of the contract you receive an export file, and the platform setup is decommissioned.
Are the pilot results exclusive to us?
Segment configuration and setup are exclusive per partner. The underlying platform (architecture, moderation, Multiguard) remains shared infrastructure. That way every partner benefits from security updates, without your content or configuration becoming visible to others.
What does support look like during live operation?
Included in the monthly care: content updates, monitoring, security reports, parent communication and ongoing roadmap work. Response times are contractually anchored, not routed through an anonymous ticket system.
Can we run Studios and the Partner Program in parallel?
Yes, and it's actually typical. Studios runs your own solution, while in parallel an agency you commission can win and onboard further brand clients via the Partner Program. Both worlds share the platform but stay separate in billing and client management.
